The Two of Swords is balance bought at the price of not looking. The card rarely speaks of missing information. More often the information is there, and you keep choosing not to take the blindfold off. What changes the reading is how long this has already been going on.

Two of Swords upright
Both sides of the matter have been weighed so carefully that choosing has become impossible. And that was the point. The card describes a truce: nobody attacks, nobody yields, the subject sits untouched. What is usually missing is not data but consent to its consequences. The Two can also be an honest pause, but only when it has an expiration date rather than becoming a way of life.
Two of Swords reversed
The blindfold slips, and what was comfortably unnamed comes to the surface, sometimes out of someone else's mouth. Reversed, the Two of Swords can also describe a choice made carelessly just to have some peace, or a stalemate dragged out until circumstances decided everything on their own.
Symbolism
A blindfolded woman sits on a stone bench holding two crossed swords, her arms closed over her own chest. Behind her lies calm water with rocks breaking the surface, and a young moon. Nobody else put that blindfold on her; she is the one not looking, and the rocks beneath the surface show there is something to see.
How to read this card in a spread
As the "situation" it describes a suspension in which both sides pretend the matter does not exist. In the "action" position it is the instruction opposite to the picture: take off the blindfold, ask, check. As the "outcome" it warns that nothing will resolve itself. Next to the Eight of Swords you can see two different blocks: here the dodging of information, there an imagined compulsion. Next to the Ace of Swords it means the deciding sentence is about to be spoken anyway.
Love and relationships
A typical picture: you both know something is not working, and you both stay quiet because talking would end a certain comfort. It can also be a triangle in which nobody wants to choose. If you are single, the card shows a connection kept in limbo, with no declaration and no break.
Work and money
Two offers, two projects, or two paths, and a stubborn refusal to decide, because every decision closes something. The card shows up around a resignation letter kept in a drawer and a budget nobody wants to add up to the end. Usually the data is available. What is missing is one afternoon spent reading it.
Advice
Check the thing you are deliberately not checking: read the message, ask directly, look at the bank statement. A truce with no end date turns into a decision made by someone else.
