Knight of Wands upright
This is a card of movement undertaken at once: moving out, changing cities, throwing yourself into a project that starts next week. The Knight acts on momentum, and that momentum genuinely breaks through things that have stood still for months. The price is constant: the enthusiasm is short-lived, and whatever needs patient finishing is left to someone else. Use the Knight for breaking through, not for running things.
Knight of Wands reversed
Reversed, momentum turns into recklessness: decisions made in anger, a resignation thrown down mid-meeting, a trip that is really an escape. It can also be a blockage: someone has all that energy and nowhere to release it, so it comes out as irritability. Sometimes it describes a person who promises and disappears.
Symbolism
The horse rears, and the rider in armor and a yellow cloak patterned with salamanders holds on with one hand on the wand. The plume is thrown back by the speed. Beneath the hooves stretches a desert, with three pyramids in the background. The road is long and barren, and still the rider sets off at a gallop. The visor is up: no caution at all.

In the "situation" position the Knight describes a matter that has just taken off abruptly, or the person pushing it. In the "action" position it advises going in at once, without another round of arrangements. In the "outcome" position it foretells a change that is quick but not always lasting, often tied to a change of place. An acquaintance that begins intensely and without a run-up: plenty of initiative in the first weeks, less certainty about the third month. In a relationship it can foretell a trip together or the return of passion after a dead stretch. Look at actions over time, not at declarations from the first evening.

A job change made quickly, a business trip, a work relocation, joining a project at the stage where it needs a push. The Knight starts brilliantly and delivers the last twenty percent badly. With money it warns against a decision made in one evening: a big purchase, giving up a steady income, a payment made without checking the terms.
